Is Getting a Dental Implant Painful?
Patients are almost always concerned with the dental implant surgery. The fact is that the jawbone has no nerves. Therefore, the jawbone does not feel the dental implant being placed. Dr. Nugent will completely numb the surgical site. Some patients choose to have additional sedation (Laughing Gas or Oral Sedation) to lower their anxiety.
Rarely do Dr. Nugent’s patients take prescription pain medication after the surgery. Most rely on over the counter Advil.
