Problems with Missing All Teeth:
Missing Teeth is very destructive to the jawbone and facial symmetry.
Natural teeth are held securely by their roots in the jaw bone. Periodontal Disease, Trauma, decay or failed root canals can lead to the loss all of ones teeth. The tooth roots had previously stimulated the surrounding bone maintaining the jaw’s natural shape. however, with no teeth the jaw bone will resorb (shrink and melt away). Years of bone loss will cause you face to change. Your chin gets closer to you nose and you develop a “witch’s chin”. The lips appear thinner and there are an abundance of wrinkles around the mouth.
