Deer Park Texas: All on Four Dental Implants
The ideal patients for the All on Four Dental Implant procedure are those who currently wear dentures or are about to lose all of their teeth.
1. Have you been told you are not a candidate for dental implants because of bone loss?
Most patients are candidates for the All on Four procedure because by design the All on Four works with limited bone jaw bone levels. The front of the jaw us used and in most cases requires no bone grafting of sinus lifts.
2. How is the All on Four different?
The All on Four Dental Implants was designed to avoid bone grafting and sinus lifts. The anterior segments of the jaw bones are dense. Therefore, the front of the jaw will receive several implants. The innovative part of this procedure is that the back implants are angled. By angling the implants more bone is engaged and vital anatomical structures are avoided.
3. How long does the surgery take?
On average the surgery takes 2 hours per jawbone. This is performed under dental sedation. When you awaken you will have a fixed set of teeth (teeth that don’t come out).
4. What is the pain like with the All on Four?
This implant procedure is less invasive then traditional implant solutions. Most patients are back to work in one day. Patients report very mild discomfort and usually only end up taking over the counter pain medication like Advil. Few patients will take prescription pain medication after the surgery for a day or two.
