Old Fashioned Bridges require the aggressive cutting down of natural teeth. The bridge merely “bridges” over the missing tooth space with a fake tooth. There is nothing to stimulate and preserve the jaw bone. Therefore, the bone and gum tissue start to shrink away causing a very un-cosmetic appearance.
